The menu bar is a central place where you can view most of the tasks that you can perform in GeoExpress and the options that you can set.
The following table describes some of the options unique to the menu bar:

| File > Save project | Save the jobs that you have open in a project file. Project files store the options that you have set for each job. |
| Options > Preferences | Edit preferences for raster and LiDAR images. For raster images, you can set the default output directory and file format, set a default compression ration for each file format, and more. For LiDAR images, you can set the default compression ratio, specify the default number of points to display in the point cloud preview, and more. |
| Options > Licensing | View your locking code, add or import a license, select a license server, or add or import a data cartridge. |
